Carina
Goorye

I graduated from the University of the Western Cape in 2016. Since 2018, I have been working at Barker Physiotherapy, although I took a brief four-month stint in Northern Ireland in 2022 to expand my knowledge, skills, and techniques.

In 2017, I completed my postgraduate course in Dry Needling and Taping, and I’ve also finished advanced training in Orthopaedic Manipulation Therapy. I have a strong passion for working with patients in the Intensive Care Unit at Life Robinson Private Hospital in Randfontein.

In my leisure time, I enjoy hiking and going to the gym to maintain my fitness and health. I firmly believe that physiotherapists play a crucial role in enhancing people’s quality of life, and I advocate for a compassionate and holistic approach to patient care.

Candice
van Vuuren

My name is Candice van Vuuren, and I joined the Barker Physio Team as an excited and passionate junior physiotherapist. I obtained my BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Stellenbosch in 2022 and completed my community service year at Helen Joseph Hospital in Auckland Park.

Currently, I enjoy all aspects of physiotherapy, aiming to help people achieve their goals of integration into their residential and community settings. If I had to choose one area of focus, it would be neurorehabilitation and women's health.

When I'm not at the hospital, you can usually find me at the gym, spending time with friends and family, or exploring all that Krugersdorp and Randfontein have to offer.
